Mr. Moyers is returning to TV. That is just wonderful. I didn't think that he would remain in retirement for long. In a discussion of the new show he comments that "The number of American soldiers killed in Iraq now exceeds the number of victims on 9/11. We have been fighting there longer than it took us to defeat the Nazis in World War II. The costs of the war are reckoned at one trillion dollars and counting."

I had just finished reading a story on Social Security that declared that due to a new computation the year that it will be empty is 2017 instead of 2016. It occurred to me that one trillion dollars would have fixed it or put a huge bandage on it. A whole lot of young adults could have slept easier knowing that it would be there when they were eligible for it.
